One Health Assist is on a mission to change how people manage their healthcare. In a country where keeping track of medical records, doctor appointments, and wellness routines can be overwhelming, this Bengaluru-based startup offers a simpler, smarter way to handle it all. Founded in 2022 by Davinder Bhasin and Karan Arora, the platform was built out of a deeply personal need. When Bhasin’s mother fell seriously ill, navigating her treatment was exhausting- frequent travel, countless doctor visits, and an endless pile of medical records to keep track of. The stress of misplacing important documents only added to the chaos.
In these moments, he realised how broken and outdated healthcare management was. When he spoke to Arora, who had faced similar struggles, they knew they had to create a solution to make life easier for millions of people facing the same problems.
One Health Assist was born as a comprehensive platform designed to bring together everything related to health- medical records, doctor consultations, appointments, fitness, and nutrition- all in one place. At the heart of the platform is OneHealth Locker, a secure medical repository where users can upload, store, and instantly share their health records with any doctor at any time.
Instead of fumbling through files or multiple apps, everything is just a tap away. It wasn’t just their personal experiences that convinced them this idea would work; they spoke to countless people who struggled with the same issues. Small surveys and direct conversations confirmed what they already knew- healthcare organisation was a massive pain point for people across the board. When they officially launched in 2022, the response was immediate and overwhelmingly positive.
Despite entering the market during India’s “funding winter,” where startups struggled to raise capital, One Health Assist stood out. Arora acknowledges that while investors have become more cautious, India remains one of the largest and most dynamic startup ecosystems. “With our unique offering—a medical repository that deeply resonates with people—we are already in discussions with multiple investors across PIs, HNIs, and funds. We believe we will scale up further and faster very soon,” he says. The company has been entirely bootstrapped, with ₹6 crore (₹60 million) invested into building the platform, strengthening technology, and expanding its team.
Unlike other health tech platforms focusing on one aspect of healthcare, One Health Assist takes a holistic approach. Users can store and access medical records, book doctor appointments, consult specialists, and manage their fitness and nutrition—all in one place. This integration of health and wellness is what sets it apart from competitors. “We say ‘Health Banao Simple’ because that’s exactly what we do—bring everything under one umbrella so users don’t have to juggle multiple apps and platforms,” Bhasin explains. While companies like Practo and 1mg focus on e-pharmacy or teleconsultations, One Health Assist provides a full-circle healthcare experience, making it a one-stop solution for users.
The startup’s success is driven by a passionate and committed team that believes in solving real-world problems. The company culture is built on empathy, innovation, and transparency, ensuring that every team member shares the same vision of making healthcare accessible and manageable. The co-founders emphasise that hiring the right people- those who align with their mission- has been critical to their growth. Clear communication, collaboration, and a strong sense of purpose are what keep the team motivated and focused on delivering the best experience for users.
Since launching, One Health Assist has rapidly expanded its user base, reaching lakhs of consumers purely through organic growth and word-of-mouth referrals. Their journey so far has been marked by key milestones, including strategic partnerships, continuous platform improvements, and overwhelmingly positive feedback from users who now feel more in control of their health. As they look to the future, their goal is to build the world’s largest centralised medical repository, giving users seamless access to their health records while improving diagnosis and treatment outcomes. Expansion is on the horizon, with a strong focus on reaching areas where healthcare accessibility is still a challenge.
Of course, the journey hasn’t been without its struggles. One of the biggest challenges they faced early on was building trust with users in a sector as sensitive as healthcare. “People are naturally sceptical when it comes to storing medical records digitally,” Arora admits. “We tackled this by prioritising security, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and making the platform as intuitive as possible.” Another major hurdle was securing funding during an investment downturn, but the founders chose to focus on organic growth and user retention rather than chasing capital.
Reflecting on their journey, Arora emphasises the importance of solving real problems rather than just building products. “The key to success is understanding your audience deeply and ensuring that your solution addresses a tangible pain point,” he advises. “Also, don’t rush the process- building a sustainable business takes time and requires a lot of hard work.” If there’s one thing he would do differently, it would be focusing on networking early on. “Relationships with mentors, industry peers, and potential customers are invaluable. They can help you navigate challenges much more effectively.”
One Health Assist is more than just a startup- it’s a movement toward making healthcare simple, accessible, and stress-free. With a growing user base, strong investor interest, and plans to scale, the company is poised to redefine how India manages healthcare. And if their journey so far is anything to go by, they’re just getting started.
