From Apr 28 to May 4, all cookies sold will benefit the Mental Health Matters Campaign
The sweet scent of freshly baked cookies will soon be in the air, and it’s all for a good cause.
From Monday, April 28 to Sunday, May 4, Tim Hortons in Trail will once again host its annual Smile Cookie campaign, with every cookie sold supporting regional mental health care.
For just $2, customers can buy a Smile Cookie, with 100 per cent of proceeds going to the Mental Health Matters campaign at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH).
“Together, we’re raising funds to enhance mental health services and provide vital care for those in need,” the KBRH Health Foundation shares.
The campaign has become a yearly tradition in Trail, bringing together community members, local businesses, and hospital supporters through the simple act of buying a cookie.
Nicole MacMillan, owner and operator of Trail Tim Hortons, said the team is proud to be part of this effort once again.
“We’re thrilled to kick off this year’s Smile Cookie campaign in support of the KBRH Health Foundation,” MacMillan said.
“One of the sweetest highlights is the return of the Chocolate Chunk cookie, now even more gooey and delicious.”
Smile Cookies will be available throughout the week at the Trail Tim Hortons location.
For those planning to buy in bulk — for an office treat, school surprise, or just to share some kindness — pre-ordering is encouraged.
Orders of a dozen or more can be made using the Smile Cookie Pre-Order Form, which must be submitted at least 48 hours in advance.
Form: Order Smile Cookies
“Our incredible teams are ready to serve up smiles, and we’re calling on local businesses, schools, and individuals to join us,” MacMillan said.
“Together, we can make a meaningful difference in our community, one cookie at a time.”
Community members are also invited to get involved beyond buying cookies. Volunteers are welcome to help decorate Smile Cookies in-store, adding a personal touch to each cheerful treat.
Visit the KBRH Health Foundation website to learn more about volunteering as a decorator and to download a pre-order form.
The KBRH Health Foundation also encourages everyone to help spread the word and raise awareness by sharing their Smile Cookie moments online using #SmileCookieWeekKBRH.
The campaign runs from April 28 to May 4 at Tim Hortons in Trail, located near Waneta Plaza at 8100 Highway 3B.
All funds stay local, supporting mental health care close to home.
Launched in February, the KBRH Health Foundation’s $2 million Mental Health Matters campaign is its most ambitious fundraising effort to date.
The initiative aims to improve mental health care across the Kootenay Boundary by funding major upgrades to the Daly Pavilion, Harbour House, and the Pediatric Outdoor Space at KBRH.
The goal of these improvements is to foster safer, more compassionate environments for patients of all ages, while also supporting the well-being of healthcare teams.
